MANSCEN, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri Fort Leonard Wood is the Army's Maneuver Support Center, training more than 25,000 initial entry and engineer, chemical defense and military police enlisted soldiers each year.
The communities of Pulaski County host families attending graduation, year round, from around the country. If your solider is receiving Basic or AIT training you will receive an information packet within a few weeks of their arrival at Fort Leonard Wood. Graduations generally consist of one day for Family Day, with Graduation occuring the following day. Please be prepared to visit with your soldier for a specified amount of time on Family Day, with the possibility of restrictions on how far they can travel, and their possible requirement to remain in uniform. Families will receive specific information at the briefing dicussed in the soldiers graduation packet. Each group graduating falls under varying requirements.

The post welcomes the public. Be sure to tour the Mahaffey Museum Complex housing museums for three Army branches – Engineer, Chemical and Military Police. There is also an authentic and complete World War II company area available for a walking tour.

Fort Leonard Wood is on 100 square miles of rugged Ozark wilderness. With the addition of the Military Police and Chemical schools to the Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood became the Maneuver Support Center for the Army. Now that the two new schools are in place, the Fort is projected to have a nearly $600,000,000 impact on the region.

Throughout its growth, Fort Leonard Wood's soldiers and their family members have enjoyed an outstanding quality of life. Children attend a top-ranked school district and activities on post are plentiful. The new multi-million dollar Davidson Fitness Center and new Child Development Center, along with a superb hospital and many other facilities and amenities, make Fort Leonard Wood a premier Army installation.
